My Story

Hello, I’m Chef Brian Coffey, a Certified Executive Chef (CEC, AAC) with over 40 years of culinary experience. My journey began at age 9, assisting my mother in catering weddings, and has since taken me around the globe, honing my skills in diverse kitchens. In 2019, I transitioned to full-time private catering, bringing my expertise to the Mount Washington Valley and North Conway, NH areas.

I specialize in crafting customized menus for events ranging from intimate gatherings to weddings. I take pride in sourcing the finest local ingredients and tailoring each dish to meet the unique preferences and dietary needs of my clients. Whether you’re planning a family-style dinner, a plated service, or a casual buffet, my team and I ensure a seamless and memorable dining experience.

Beyond catering, I am the author of The Lobster Lover’s Cookbook and its revised edition, Lobster Lover’s Cookbook II. I am also a proud member of the American Culinary Federation, the World Association of Chefs Societies, and have taught at esteemed institutions like Le Cordon Bleu and the Culinary Institute of America. My commitment to excellence and passion for the culinary arts are reflected in every event I undertake.

Cookbooks

My first cookbook I wrote and had published was in 1992.  I was 39 years old. The original book was The Lobster Lover’s Cookbook

A few years later the publisher asked to write a revised with more recipes, so in 1996 I wrote the “revised edition” Lobster Lover’s Cookbook II

My philosophy on food and cooking is simple; I love sourcing the best food I can find, and I always start locally. I use the best culinary techniques to prepare everything I create. I love to custom design menus for each event so that all my customers’ guests dietary needs have been well thought out. I can design a meal for any occasion, and execute parties of any type and size.

Since the Covid pandemic I have downsized and focus on a variety of smaller events in a range of casual family-style gatherings from 15-40 people, like birthdays, anniversaries, family reunions. And I cater weddings of up to 125 people. I also cater to the needs of the local community like business Christmas parties and other business gatherings like pig roast picnics, ski club reunions, funeral receptions, and any other type of event requiring high quality food service.
